  • Ships: 4–6 business days from order date.

  • Worldwide: Duties & taxes included at checkout for most destinations. 

  • Free delivery: Orders £200+ (UK/EU thresholds may vary by capsule).

  • Returns window: 14 days from delivery for a refund to your original payment method.

  • Items must be unused, unaltered, with tags/packaging. 

How to start a return

Email thesloanejournal@gmail.com with your order number, reason, and any photos if relevant. We’ll reply with next steps and the return address.
Please don’t send items back without contacting us first — they won’t be accepted.

Return shipping: Unless the item is faulty or we made a mistake, the customer covers return postage. This is standard across fashion e-commerce.

Eligibility checklist

To be eligible for a refund, all items must be:

  • Unworn/unused, unwashed, in original condition, with tags and original packaging.

  • Returned within 14 days of delivery (EU/UK cooling-off rules).

Non-returnable:

  • Sale items and gift cards (final sale).

  • Digital downloads (e.g., digital prints).

  • Personalised/custom items.

  • Opened candles or items not suitable for return for hygiene/safety once used.

If you’re unsure, email us before sending anything back.

Exchanges

The fastest way: return for a refund and place a new order for the item/size you want. (Stock moves quickly on drops.)

Refunds — timing & method

  • We’ll email you when your return is received and inspected. If approved, we refund to your original payment method.

  • Banks/card issuers can take a few business days to post the credit after we process it.

  • Exercising your EU/UK cooling-off rights? Retailers must refund within 14 days of cancellation (we aim to be quicker once your item reaches us).

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If something arrives damaged, defective or not what you ordered, email us right away with photos. We’ll make it right — including covering return costs where required. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Shipping, duties & taxes

  • Despatch: Orders leave us within 4–6 business days from the order date (pre-orders follow their stated timeline).

  • Worldwide: We ship DDP to most destinations — duties & taxes included at checkout, so there are no surprise fees at the door.

  • Free delivery: £200+ orders (region-specific exclusions may apply during special capsules).

Note: Original shipping fees (and any duties/taxes where applicable) aren’t refundable unless the return is due to our error.

EU/UK 14-day cooling-off (distance purchases)

If your order was shipped into the EU/UK, you can cancel within 14 days, for any reason. Items must be returned unused and in original condition with all packaging and tags.

Packaging & condition tips

  • Repack items securely in the original bag/box where possible.

  • Keep hangtags attached and include any inserts (care cards, limited-run cards).

  • Use a trackable service; keep your proof of postage until your refund lands.
